Even in our youth it is important to maintain a healthy back and promote good posture, so that our bodies are trained the proper way for preventative measures. That is why at GrundyCenter, Iowa Elementary School they take fitness and health seriously, with part of their training focus being inversion using Teeter Hang Ups Gravity Boots to aide good posture.
While the inversion tables are strictly for adults, due to size and safety, equipment like the P3 and Gravity Boots allow adolescents to reap the benefits of inverting, without having to use an inversion table.
The children from Iowa Elementary School the kids learn how to use Teeter Hang Ups gravity boots to improve posture and balance. While using the gravity boots, the elementary students do an exercise call 3 point brachiation. This exercise involves hanging by the boots and holding on to a bar with one hand while releasing the other arm stretching it down toward the floor, rotating between arms.
Another great device that smaller frames can use is the P3 back stretcher. The extent of the stretch is under the control of the user. The P3 allows the spine to be in proper alignment so that proper posture can be maintained, along with applying reverse-loading to the support structure that encases each joint to help increase ligament strength, improve flexibility and increase shock absorption.
Iowa Elementary School promotes the ideals that posture and dynamic balance are the core of human movement. Also, that motor skills are critical for brain development and academic success. After sitting in class for extended hours having the chance to properly stretch and promote proper posture to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
