Fitness Unlimited is a specialty fitness retailer that operates under three retail names in the Houston market: Fitness Unlimited, Busy Body and Winston Fitness. The total store count for the 3 retail formats is 13. They’ve been in business for 19 years, and have been a loyal Teeter customer since the beginning. A few years ago they wanted to expand their offering of inversion to the consumer, so they added the EP-950 along with Gravity Boots and EZ-Up Racks to the EP-550 to broaden their assortment. They found that by providing the consumer with more choices, they didn’t just trade sales from one item to another, but grew their overall inversion business. The product offering is an upper end assortment across the best brand names in the industry — a perfect fit for Teeter Hang Ups products. Teeter is very pleased to have the support of Houston’s premier fitness equipment retailer.

When we say quality we are actually talking about:
- The engineering behind the inversion table
- the materials used to make the inversion table,
- and the validation of this statement by third-party evaluation.
Since Roger Teeter first started making inversion tables in 1981, we have made over 100 upgrades to our product. From Teeter’s precision balancing to the patented technologies that make your inversion experience more secure and comfortable, our engineering is a result of listening to our customers and striving to achieve the best inversion experience.
The materials we use are simply better. The metal tubing used to make the A-frames is thicker than other inversion tables. The heat-treated steel hinge that allows the table rotate so smoothly lasts over 25 years longer than our competitors. Better parts make a better product.Top-Rated
We don’t simply make claims of quality and say, Trust us! For the past decade Teeter inversion tables have been tested by a third-party forensic engineer against other competing inversion tables on the market.
The reviewing engineer builds his evaluation around a testing protocol from Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL), a company that has established safety and quality guidelines for consumer products for over 100 years. UL 1647 was designed to specifically evaluate inversion tables in real-world use and make sure they cut the mustard. When measured against our competitors, we don’t just come in 1st place in every test, but the data shows that the other inversion tables fail to come close to the minimum standards determined for safe consumer use. Don’t believe me? Take a look for yourself:
UL says an inversion tables should be able to hold 4 times their rated user weight (called a safety factor). This is because inversion tables experience loads of 2-3 times the user weight during full inversion with exercise. Teeter inversion tables were rated at a 4.8 safety factor, while some tables didn’t even hold the weight limit listed on their box!
A cycle starts the inversion table in its upright position, inverts backwards to full inversion and returns fully upright. Considering most inversion tables are used 4 times per day by a family of two, most competitors didn’t last more than 2 years (under 3,000 cycles) before they broke due to torn or bent metal! However, the Teeter inversion table lasted over 27 years (that’s 40,000 cycles) without failure before the test was stopped due to time!
Let’s face it, the last thing you want to do when your product arrives is spend a lot of time on your hands and knees slouched over a bunch of little screws. That’s why most of our tables come 90% assembled (at the very least, 85%), and take only 15 minutes to assemble! Other tables average at 71 minutes and one even took over 2 hours of assembly time!
UL 1647 Listed
Not only does UL create the standards for quality and safety on consumer products, but they make sure product actually meets all of them before they let a product bear the UL mark. That is why we are proud to say that all of Teeter’s home-use inversion tables* are the only tables available to consumers that are UL 1647 Listed.

Have you seen that successful series of commercials by an online bank that shows kids being offered something fun and enticing by an authority-figure? The offer is never what is seems and they end up feeling disappointed in the end.
When shopping for an inversion table, you may find you have similar experiences with the features, benefits, and quality statements made by other manufacturers you’re tempted by their offer, but if you actually assemble and use it, you’ll often find that those claims don’t hold water.
That doesn’t happen with Teeter. We are who we say we are. Our product is what we say it is. It does what we say it does. Teeter has been making the best inversion tables on the market for 30 years because our customers appreciate our superior quality, friendly service and the fact that we deliver on the promises we make.
